Mackenzie Nilsen

Marketing and Development Manager

Mackenzie joined WCPA in May 2021 and is thrilled to continue working alongside this enthusiastic and creative team. She is originally from Hampshire, Illinois and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Management and Promotions along with a minor in Dance from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.

In June of 2014, Mackenzie’s professional career began in Sarasota, Florida at Florida Studio Theatre where she served as their full-time Marketing Assistant as well as a lead choreographer for their Write-A-Play Program. In August of 2016, she headed back up north and moved to Chicago to start her job as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Remy Bumppo Theatre Company where she still presides in that role.

On top of her responsibilities at WCPA and RBTC, Mackenzie choreographs musicals for middle/high schools in the greater Chicagoland and Milwaukee areas, enjoys good music and food with friends and family, lives for adventures and being outside, and on top of all, loves dogs.
